A man has died after being pulled from the water in Millbrook.
Emergency services were called to Southdown Quay at around 4.10pm on Wednesday, September 9, after reports that a man had gone underwater at a lake. The man was pulled from the water and CPR was performed on him when emergency services arrived.
Despite their efforts, the local man, who was in his 70s, later died in hospital, police confirmed. His next of kin have been informed, and his death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The man was pulled from the water and CPR attempts commenced upon the arrival of emergency services. Sadly, the local man in his 70s later passed away in hospital."
