A ride-on mower is helping keep Newquay Orchard in top shape thanks to a generous donation.
The mower was gifted by SUEZ, a recycling and recovery company, to support the upkeep of the orchard's seven-acre site, which relies on more than 600 volunteers each year.
It will also benefit students in the Growing Futures programme, which offers hands-on work experience and skills training.
Olivia Crisp, partnership and community engagement manager at SUEZ, said: "Through the reuse of unwanted items like this ride-on mower, we're extending the life of the product and giving it a new purpose at Newquay Orchard.
"It will also help support volunteers, young people and a fantastic local organisation that promotes sustainability."
The orchard's director of communities and landscapes, Jenny Hindson, said the mower will make a "big difference" to volunteers, staff, and work experience students.
Jenny said: "It will make a big difference to our staff, community volunteers and work experience students who grow the veg that goes into our Grown veg bags and supply our Heart and Soul cafe and local restaurants.
"At this time, it is even more important than ever that communities and businesses collaborate to take action to tackle the climate change and the nature emergencies."
