Plans for a private dog-walking field near Chudleigh have received a boost after Devon Highways confirmed it has no objection to the proposal.
The revised scheme, submitted to Teignbridge Council, would change the use of land off Parr's Lane from agriculture to a commercial dog exercise field.
Devon County Council's Highway Authority visited the site and said it has "no objections to the proposal".
Chudleigh Town Council also raised no objection.
The application, reference 26/01228/FUL, follows the refusal of an earlier proposal for the site in January.
At the time, planners said they were unable to fully assess the impact of the development because of 'inadequate and inconsistent information' submitted with the application.
The latest submission includes revised plans and additional supporting documents intended to address the concerns raised by planning officers during the previous application.
Teignbridge Council is expected to make a decision by September 23.
