A woman was arrested and a man was taken to hospital after a disturbance in Penryn town centre.
Emergency services responded to an altercation involving multiple people on Lower Market Street at about 4.50am on Sunday, August 20.
A witness told CornwallLive the row started around 1.30am and went on for several hours.
Devon and Cornwall Police said a man in his 70s was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A 26-year-old local woman was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, as well as five other offences.
She has since been released on police bail.
In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Emergency services were called to Lower Market Street, Penryn, at around 4.50am on August 20 following reports of an altercation involving multiple people.
"A 26-year-old local woman was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. A man in his 70s was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
"The suspect was also arrested on suspicion of five offences of assault by beating an emergency worker; racially/ religiously aggravated harassment/ alarm/ distress by words/ writing/ behaviour; the use of threatening/ abusive/ insulting words/ behaviour with intent to cause fear of/ provoke unlawful violence and two offences of assault by beating.
"She has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue."
