Planners have approved a new primary school and nursery with capacity for more than 700 children.
The primary school, located on the edge of Cranbrook, a new town near Exeter, Devon, will have room for 630 pupils and 80 nursery places.
Cobdens Primary School, as the site is named, would also include a grass sports field and an all-weather floodlit artificial pitch for community use, according to the scheme's proposers.
East Devon District Council officers had raised concerns about landscaping and the building's appearance, but changes to the plans meant full approval was granted.

Building in Cranbrook began in 2011, and the town has a planned population of about 20,000 people.
The planning report for the school, which will be north of London Road, said the site was "a critical part of the infrastructure that is necessary to support the Cranbrook expansion".
Planning officers said the site's appearance had "improved markedly" from earlier plans by Devon County Council. They added that a "monotonous rhythm" had been "broken and given a coherence" through changes to materials.
The school had already received outline planning permission as part of a wider plan for more than 1,400 homes approved in 2024.
