The countdown is on for a major celebration of Devon's food and drink industry. The 2026 Food Drink Devon Awards will be held on Monday, October 5, at Sandy Park in Exeter. It marks the 15th anniversary of the event and celebrates excellence across the county's food and drink sector.
The awards are open to members and non-members of Food Drink Devon. Categories include Producer, Retail, and Hospitality Awards, plus the Sustainability Pioneer Award.
Jack Pickering, board director at Food Drink Devon, said: "It's a privilege to unveil this year's shortlist, particularly as we mark the 15th anniversary of the awards. The standard of entries in 2026 has been truly exceptional, showcasing the sheer breadth of innovation within Devon's food and drink scene."
This year's product award finalists include Anton's Butchers in Colyton, Bar Buoy in Exmouth, Curworthy Cheese in Jacobstowe, Devon Microgreens in Stoke Gabriel, Good Game Charcuterie in Topsham, Pretty Little Pastries in Crediton, Shepherd Shack in Dawlish Warren, Taste Of Sidmouth, TORS Distillery in Okehampton, West Country Olives in Exeter, and Wellhayes Vineyard in Tiverton.
Susy Atkins, wine writer, presenter, and board director at Food Drink Devon, praised the calibre of entries. She said: "It's been a standout year for the awards, not just because of the number of entries but because of the brilliant quality we've seen. Devon's drinks scene is buzzing with creativity."
The People's Choice Awards also return this year, letting the public vote for their favourite hospitality venue and food or drink product. Amanda Ringelberg, ambassador for Food Drink Devon, said: "Following the success of the inaugural award last year, we were excited to launch the People's Choice Awards for 'Best Hospitality Venue' and the new 2026 category, 'Best Food or Drink Product'. For only the second time, we handed the judging over to the people who matter most, our community of food and drink lovers."
The evening includes a drinks reception and a three-course meal featuring produce from Food Drink Devon members. It will end with an after-show party and live music until 1am.
