Police have issued an update after an incident over the weekend closed the A30 near a key junction.
Devon and Cornwall Police said they were called at 7.55am on Sunday, August 23 to reports of a woman on an A30 overbridge at Chiverton Cross.
Officers attended, and after a period of dialogue, the woman moved to a place of safety. She was then detained under the Mental Health Act, the force said.
The A30 was shut from the Chiverton Cross roundabout, at its turn off to the A390, to the A3047 turn off at Scorrier during the incident.
CornwallLive reported that the road was then reopened later in the morning at around 11:30am.
