Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City fans appeared to have taken on board the police's warning to "behave" during the Devon Derby match on Monday, with only half a dozen arrests in total.
It comes after a video was shared on TikTok, showing around 15-20 police officers, including two on horses, running up Pennycomequick Hill towards Plymouth Railway Station after the match had finished.
It is not known if officers were running to an incident, or getting ahead of the train station rush before fans descended on the platforms.
Ahead of the match, Supt Ryan Doyle of Devon and Cornwall Police said he recognised the importance of the fixture to supporters, but "a robust policing response will be taken for those who choose to misbehave, which could lead to arrests and potential banning orders".
The game on August 10 ended with a resounding win for The Pilgrims, walking away with a 2-0 score at Home Park.
Supt Doyle said there were "no serious offences" during the course of the police-led operation, with "no officers and no fans injured".
He added that "disruption was kept to a minimum", with six arrests in total: five for public order and one for an assault.
