Dynargh! Welcome to your new newspaper for Bodmin
Chief reporter Jacob, above left, and production editor Andrew, above right, are here to give you the latest and best of Bodmin; you can find our office at 10 Fore Street in the town centre

A warm welcome to the first edition of Bodmin Voice after what has been a bizarre, distressing and at times life-affirming year so far.

It seems we are far from out of the woods just yet - and things are by no means certain for many of us. However, as the new kid on the block (on Fore Street, to be precise) the Voice will do all we can to help the recovery of our busy town.

We want to champion everything that is good and great about Bodmin and its surrounding villages. It is you, our readers, who shape its character, safeguard its vital heritage and carry it passionately into the times ahead.

We’re not just here for a giant love-in though. We’re here to report fairly and accurately on the big issues of the day. The things which get you thinking, debating - and even arguing.

Housing developments, parking problems, pedestrianisation, transport infrastructure and the history of the place we call home - we know they court different opinions and viewpoints. We want to be at the heart of those discussions and provide you an informative platform for lively, healthy debate.

We will hold people and organisations to account where necessary, but we will also be the first in the queue to celebrate the success and innovation we achieve together.

Our aim is to provide you with a hyper-local, entertaining, diverse, informative read each week. We need your help though. Our reporting team cannot be in three places at once, so get in touch and let us know what is going on in your area and what you think we should be reporting on.

So please do call into the office, drop us a line or an email or find us on social media. And don’t forget to pick up a copy of your Bodmin Voice every Wednesday
