“He didn’t turn up for a training session after I heard the news and I suspected the worst but I was told by another player that Paul had sent a text saying he wouldn’t be able to get there.
“I managed to sit down with him and have a chat and we started the season with him and over the last week he has proved what a valuable player he is.”
