Potentially deadly sea creatures spotted
One of the Portuguese man o´ war spotted on Newquay area beaches.

BEACHGOERS have been warned after potentially deadly Portuguese man o’war were found washed up on local beaches.

Newquay Beachcoming has advised people to be on the look-out after the creatures were discovered at Holywell Bay and Crantock Beach.

The Portuguese man o’war has a very powerful sting and on rare occasions can kill. Anyone who sees one is advised not to touch it and report sightings to the Marine Conservation Society website.
