Pleas for officer to stay in post
A CAMPAIGN is underway to retain the services of an experienced Newquay police officer who is being forced to retire.
Sergeant Bob Murray (right) will have to stand down in July due to Devon and Cornwall Police adopting a regulation in a bid to cut costs, which states officers will be “required to retire” after 30 years’ service.
